Fifth Wedding Anniversary

Five years, wow! We had a great day together. Our friends watched Rylee for a couple hours so we could have an uninterrupted dinner together. We decided to splurge on steak and cook at home. I used an America's Test Kitchen recipe on some pretty delicious ribeyes from Whole Foods! For an appetizer and side, I made Bite-Sized Caprese Appetizer and Bacon Wrapped Green Bean Bundles, both from Our Best Bites. And for desert, lemon cupcakes from Mel's kitchen(I added a blueberry filling). It was pretty darned delicious, if I do say so myself, and at least as good as a dinner from a typically priced restaurant. We lit some candles, turned on Michael Buble on Pandora, and just pretended we were eating $36 steak dinners.

The steaks look a little charred, but they weren't, promise!

With glasses, and look, the light is giving me a halo!



Without glasses! My hair keeps getting shorter every year! We look so different from when we got married!


The best parts of my life have been with you, Ryan. I love you so much. Here's to the memories, laughter, children, and years to come.
