Kennedy Space Center

When I was a kid, it was my dream to be an astronaut. My plan(when I was 8) was to go to the Naval Academy, become an aviator, and then move on to NASA.

That's not quite how my life worked out, but I still love all things space! We got to go the Kennedy Space Center yesterday and had a lot of fun!

You have to sneak attack Adam to get him in a picture.

View of launch pad from observation deck.

One of my favorite parts is seeing the Saturn 5 rocket!!! It is incredibly huge! Pictures really don't capture it's enormity.

Halfway view

One of the coolest areas is the brand new building they have to house the shuttle Atlantis.

Look closely at this next one. You can see the scorch patterns on the bottom of the shuttle from reentry into earth's atmosphere, so cool!

The Atlantis exhibit is pretty fun and has a lot of interactive stuff, flight simulators, and my favorite, the "shuttle launch experience" which is a launch simulator.

It was a super fun day!
