Christmas 2014

We made our annual pilgrimage back to Austin for Christmas. We had a blast with our family! Christmas morning was so much fun with Rylee opening up all of her presents. My family came over later in the afternoon for a delicious Christmas dinner! The next day, was of course Ry's birthday, and we watched the Hobbit and ate all you could eat at Salt Lick, mmmmm. We went bowling and got ice cream and Rylee had so much fun with her aunties, uncles, and cousin! We also had a birthday party for Ryan, which just ended up being my siblings, but it was perfect and we had a fun evening. So much fun, that I have zero pictures from the night!

Watching Star Wars: A New Hope with Rylee for the first time Christmas morning.

Family tradition, matching PJs

Travis "forgot" his PJs so he wasn't in our picture.
Ryan being a pig at Salt Lick! It was his birthday after all!

Playing our new board game Carcassonne which is super fun!

Rylee went bowling for the first time and it was lots of fun!

Sweet cousins

Woo Pig Sooie! Arkansas beat Texas!

Cherry Berry!
It was a wonderful Christmas!

Christmas Season 2014

Here's a bunch of pictures from the month of December!

Playing with her new Little People Nativity Set!

Decorating the tree. Yes, totally posed.

I somehow got roped into making my department's gingerbread house
for our hospital contest. Turned out pretty cute!

Rylee's first time with Santa, not impressed.

Second go around with Santa. She didn't cry!

At a breakfast with Santa.

Working on her gymnastic skills!

These were Rylee's presents from us. One lucky kiddo!

My little elf helping.

Thanksgiving 2014

We had an awesome week with my family! Turkey, pie, movies, date night, temple, running, and family time equate to one fun break!

At the Children's museum with Auntie Cassie!

Our Turkey Day 5k! Ran my personal best without baby and dog in tow!

Black Friday shopping. We waited till the evening, after
things had died down some.
Our last day with my family, we all headed over to the San Jacinto Monument and Battleship Texas.

She had so much fun running around with cousin James!

Say "Cheese!"

This kid is too much! We love her!

Not quite sure why I was squinting my eyes so much!
Thanksgiving was wonderful, and we have much to be grateful for, but the two greatest blessings in my life are my two "RyRys."

Oklahoma...where the wind comes sweeping down the plains...

We took a trip to Dewey, Oklahoma to see one of my best friends from college. We made a very, very brief pit stop in Fayetteville to visit campus and get some Razorback stuff.
Hanging on the square.
We had fun on a hay ride in Oklahoma.

Eating a hot dog waiting to get in line for a hay ride.

She's such a big girl!

We visited the Tulsa Children's Museum.

And Rylee had fun with her new friends!
Hitching a ride.

It was a fun visit, but far too brief. On our way back to Texas, we spent the night in Dallas to break up our 9.5 hour car ride. We stopped at the Perlot Museum of Natural Science and History. It was a super cool place!
