A Pumpkin Patch Adventure

We went out to Dewberry Farm this weekend, braving the overcast skies and dumping rain. The farm was super touristy and commercialized, so I don't think we would ever go back. I also thought it was a live pumpkin patch, but it totally wasn't, which was a little disappointing. I miss Vala's Pumpkin Patch in Omaha! That is a cool place! But this one was still fun.

We ventured in to the muddy "corn maze." The path was slippery and messy, and Rylee did not enjoy the corn brushing past her sleeve and was disconcerted by the oozing mud everywhere. Not one of our brighter ideas to venture in.

We made it out!

Walking to the pumpkin patch.

I love this face!

This was the "pumpkin patch" area.

Rylee was not the most willing model.

Rylee declined getting a small pumpkin, so we left without getting anything! We'll have to check out other patches that are actually "live pumpkin patches" in the area.

Fall Weather Maybe?

I woke up this morning to gorgeous weather! Even though it was General Conference weekend, I knew I couldn't stay inside all day, and it was free Bank of America day at the zoo. So away we went!

Family train ride!

Speaking of trains, a couple weekends ago, we went out to Rosenberg, TX to the train museum. It was a cute day!

Watching the model trains.

Watching the real trains barrel past the old train depot!

I just loved this random mural in downtown Rosenberg!

I love taking adventures with our little family!

A Temple Weekend

My sister, brother-in-law and sweet little niece got sealed as a family for time and all eternity in the San Antonio temple this Saturday. It was a lovely weekend with so many sweet memories made.

Love this girl!

My family! It was awesome to be all together at the temple!

Rylee loved being with her Honey, aunties, and cousins!

She started preferring Honey or Aunt Aley or Auntie Halie over Mommy!
Which it totally fine with me!

This pretty much sums up Rylee's relationship with her cousins!

Uncle Richard had a couple light sabers, and Rylee loved them!

I was having to defend myself from this baby Jedi!
As always, we wish we had more time with everyone, but we treasure the moments we did get to have!

End of Summer 2014

It's still 95 degrees out, but the word is that it's actually fall. Here's what the end of our summer looked like!

We hit up the Cheesecake Factory for my birthday over in the Woodlands.
I branched out and tried a new one, Chris's Outrageous Cheesecake. Yummy!

Best part of my birthday!
We also went over to the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center. It was Ryan's first time and we all had a good day!

The Houston Temple is closed for the month of September, so we went the last day it was open and took turns with Rylee outside.

My brother Travis came for Labor Day and we spent a fun day in the sand at the beach in Galveston.

She sat and played just like this for most of the day.
I thought both their faces were way too funny!

We had one exhausted baby!

Alas, now it's mid-September. How did that happen? Maybe soon we'll get some cooler weather and it will dip below 80! We had a great summer!
